More Simple Stuff We Can't Use

What is it this time? The trash. We were very able trash-handlers back in the US. Here, we are handicapped. Here is the sign on the door of the trash room:

I assume this tells you the day and time that different types of trash are taken out. We haven't figured it out yet. Within the trash room, it's even tougher.

There are many signs and places for trash. This is only 1/3 of the room. I am fairly certain that we aren't using it appropriately.

I'll leave you with a quote delivered somewhat excitedly by Heather while in the trash room: "Is this stuff all up for grabs?" It probably wasn't as bad as it sounded, but I didn't find out what she was talking about, just in case it was.

Chris,

Keep 'em coming!
Your sense of humor is completely refreshing as I'm usually reading these in the middle of the night after working too long. One day we'll have to see what she meant about the garbage. Did you ever figure out how to use all the buttons and gadgets in your apartment? Are you and your TV starting to find some common ground? Jason & Hedy say "Hi".

Love, Dad

Well, I'm typically writing these in the same state that you're reading them, but I'm glad there's enough sarcasm left in my bones to make it through to the blog.

I still have not ventured to push any of the extraneous buttons around the house. I'm going to try the washing machine in the next couple days. Keep your fingers crossed.

I do finally see the good things about TV here. It's boring. TV is way too entertaining in the US. It sucks up people's lives. They also have a very high quality educational channel. I feel like there is no equivalent in the US. They could still use some more channels. It's not easy to learn the language with what I've got and I'm too lazy to do anything else.

For the record, I was referring to full bottles of laundry detergent and dish soap...

:-P

Well, at least I know what to get Heather for Christmas!

Too late. I just made a run to Costco (which I'm about to post about) and got enough detergent to last us until we move. Partially because I manage to do laundry as infrequently as possible and partially because the bottle is enormous.
